It’s been a while since our visit to the January Furniture Show 2025, but the impressions are still vivid and will probably remain with us for a long time. We’d love to share some of my key observations from this incredible event.
The show, held at NEC Birmingham, ran from Sunday 19th January for three days, requiring prior registration. Due to work commitments, we could only attend for one day, which meant an early start from Bournemouth—but it was worth it! We arrived as some of the first visitors, eager to explore everything this prestigious event had to offer.
A Smooth and Welcoming Start
From the moment we arrived, we were positively surprised. The spacious free parking was a great convenience, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. Upon entering, we were greeted by polite and welcoming staff, who ensured a smooth check-in process as we collected our badges. And then, the real excitement began—a journey through halls filled with inspiration, innovation, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Exploring the Best in Design
The fair featured a vast number of exhibitors from around the world, divided into four distinct sectors. Our first stop was Premium Design, home to the most eye-catching displays and prestigious brands.
We were immediately drawn to the beautiful scent of authentic, quality leather coming from the British brand Carlton Furniture. Their new eclectic patchwork range stood out as a fantastic, long-lasting choice—especially for vintage home lovers.

Moving further, I was captivated by the elegance of Italian high-gloss furniture, with its intricate detailing and luxurious appeal. But one of my absolute favourites was Himolla, the renowned German brand. I couldn’t take my eyes off their stand—it was not only the unique design of their products that impressed me but also the tasteful and sophisticated presentation of their entire exhibition. It was impossible to walk past without stopping to admire it, and I had a strong feeling they would win the Best Stand Award—which they ultimately did!

A Feast for the Eyes
One of the most overwhelming yet exciting parts of the show was the sheer scale of products and displays. Hill Interiors, one of the UK’s leading importers and distributors of wholesale furniture and home accessories, truly stood out with their harmonious, natural interior arrangements. Their endless bookcase was astonishing—it would probably take a whole week to fully appreciate their vast assortment!
There were so many stunning exhibitions from all over the world that it’s impossible to list them all in one article. From furniture and accessories to sculptures and textiles, the variety of exceptional craftsmanship and creativity on display was truly inspiring.

Looking Ahead to Next Year
I only wish I could have stayed longer and participated in the networking events. Next year, I will definitely come better prepared to make the most of the experience. And who knows—maybe in 2026, we’ll be exhibiting our own designs! Piwko Furniture at JFS 2026? Now, that would be something!
Final Thoughts
Attending The January Furniture Show 2025 was the perfect way to start the new year with optimism, fresh ideas, and a renewed passion for design. We came back with so many free inspiring magazines and brochures, a great way to explore the latest trends and gain a deeper insight into the furniture industry. I highly recommend this event to anyone in the industry who has the opportunity to attend, as it is strictly for trade visitors only.
